When I walked into The Union on September 21st for Reneé Rapp’s Snow Hard Feelings Tour, a smile was immediately brought to my face as I noticed that the concert hadn’t even started yet, but people already seemed to be having a good time just being there. Various pop songs played over the speakers from, “Satellite,” by Harry Styles too, “Cruel Summer,” by Taylor Swift, which the crowd loudly and passionately sang/yelled along to!

In Salt Lake City, the anticipation for Daniel Caesar was very strong. The night promised not only the soulful music of the Canadian R&B sensation but also the upcoming sounds of Orion Sun as the opening act. The Complex was the choice of venue, and it did not disappoint.  Salt Lake really showed out for this sold-out show. The Complex released small batches of tickets the day of the concert to try to maximize capacity, which I hadn’t seen before. It was impressive the amount of fans Daniel has here in Utah.

On Sunday, August 27th, Los Angeles-based rock band Weezer brought their Indie Rock Road Trip tour to Saltair. With supporting bands, Spoon, and White Reaper, they put on an incredible show for all their fans gathered near the shores of the Great Salt Lake. When Weezer first announced they would be going on tour, I was desperately hoping they would make a stop here in Utah. I felt pretty confident they wouldn’t skip over Weezer-loving Utah after a local fan got their attention with a billboard in 2022.

Alright! It’s about time for this concert! It has been 22 years since Pantera has toured. A lot has happened since then. Break up, sidebands, recovery, the untimely death of guitarist and brother/co-founder Dimebag Darrell, and the death of his brother, Vinnie Paul in 2018. It was about time for their songs to be heard again live and that is what this tour was about.
