Ziggy Marley played a groovy set, playing a mix of his own original songs and the familiar reggae hits of his father Bob Marley. Burning Spear literally warmed up the crowd with their distinctive rhythms that brought nearly everyone to their feet to start moving to their Rasta beats. Everyone enjoyed the grooves, crisp fall air, beautiful sunset, and the positive vibes at Sandy Amphitheater.

It was the final show for the season at Sandy Amphitheater. We have thoroughly enjoyed covering concerts at Sandy Amp. It’s one of our favorite summertime venues, and we can’t wait to get back there in the spring.

August concerts started off on a good note with Regina Spektor bringing her Midsummer Daydream Tour to Sandy Amphitheater.  It was a hot August night, as you might expect.  But that didn’t stop fans from filling the amphitheater.  Utah seems to really love Regina and her music.  I’m glad she keeps coming back.  And judging by the size of the crowd, she’ll always have a fanbase here.

On May 31, 2025, Lord Huron returned to Utah for a sold-out stop at Sandy Amphitheater on their Strange Trails 10th Anniversary Tour. For me, it was a full-circle moment: the first show I ever saw at Sandy Amphitheater was Lord Huron, and seeing them again in that same beautiful setting brought back a wave of memories. This was my third time seeing the band—once at Red Rocks and twice now at Sandy—and each time, they’ve left me more impressed than the last.

Summer is close.  Do you know how I can tell?  The snow is melting, the grass is greener, the temperature is consistently rising, and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit have made a tour stop in Utah.  Sure, sure, I know that they have made the occasional stop in the fall or winter.  But Jason Isbell and his crew in concert has become a summer tradition for their Utah fans.  Sandy Amphitheater opened its season two nights of the An Evening With Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit Tour. If Sandy Amp was hoping to make a splash by opening their summer concerts with such a popular artist, they were successful.  But maybe not in the way they expected.

We recently had the opportunity to attend a Lainey Wilson concert out at Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre.  It was a fun night filled with the excitement of a Country Music star shooting up into the stratosphere of that genre.  This was the biggest tour Lainey had played to date and for many, myself included, it was the first time they had the opportunity to see the fast-rising star.  Just a couple of weeks later we had the opportunity to take in a show and see the Country Music world from a different perspective. We stepped into the Sandy Amphitheater to see one of Country Music’s biggest legends, Wynonna Judd.
