On May 13, 2026, Dominic Richard Harrison – more famously known as YUNGBLUD – brought the second leg of his IDOLS World Tour to the UCCU Center in Orem, Utah. This show takes the cake for the largest show he has played in Utah to date. What once began with small Utah appearances at venues like Kilby Court and the Gallivan Plaza has now evolved into a sold-out arena-sized production at the UCCU Center. Yet somehow, Yungblud still manages to make these nights feel deeply personal. So buckle up and get ready, because the ride that is a Yungblud show is one you won’t soon forget.

Fans lined up outside the venue at the crack of dawn, some as early as five o’clock in the morning. Once the sun was out, even amidst the heat and lack of shade, fans were buzzing with excitement to see the young Northern England rocker make his return to the good ol’ state of Utah. Yungblud posted on his Instagram story once he arrived on his tour bus and said, “Mornin’ Utah,” and then later posted a video of him standing in the UCCU Center captioned with “Sold the fuck out. I want you fuckin loud tonight!”

Despite the venue’s size, the atmosphere never felt distant. Families, longtime fans, couples, and first-time concertgoers all screamed the lyrics together as if they had known each other for years. The iconic pink socks that Dom wears are a sure sign that you are at a Yungblud show, and you didn’t have to look far to find loads of fans wearing them. Yungblud Utah jerseys were being sold at the merch stands, along with a wide selection of other merchandise. Fans were eager to purchase to show their love for the musician.
Return To Dust

The opener for Yungblud’s show in Orem was a band called RETURN TO DUST, an American rock band with significant metal and grunge influence. From Los Angeles, they’ve been around since 2022, and WOW did they set the stage for Yungblud in warming up the crowd and really bringing the perfect energy before the big show. They even came out after their set to meet fans, take photos, and sign things, which was so fun to witness what appeared to be both old and new fans meeting the band. Amidst the long hair, rockstar energy, as well as moments that were a little more chill, like when the band had the crowd put their phone lights up, they also played a cover of “Hey Ya” by OutKast, which really hit, especially with the singer’s grungy voice.

YUNGBLUD

Then the time had come. The lights dimmed, smoke filled the stage, an intro using the song “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath began playing, and then some stage visuals appeared on the screen. The band slowly came on to the stage one by one. Adam on guitar, Ben on drums, Silke on bass, Sam also on guitar, Katie on keys, as well as two violinists who are new to Yungblud’s tour production. And then Dom entered the stage, and the crowd really went crazy. They transitioned into the song, “Hello Heaven, Hello”, the first track on the Idols record. Suddenly, confetti cannons went off, and the crowd screamed in excitement. The night had only begun. The show was filled with electric energy emanating from Yungblud and his band. There was this magnetic connection you could witness between him and each member in the crowd.

One of the things that stood out to me from past Yungblud productions was the amount of camera crew that had live video footage that was being displayed on the large LED screens on stage. Even with towering LED visuals, pyrotechnics, and cinematic live camera work, the production never overshadowed the emotional core of the performance. Every close-up displayed on the screens only amplified the feeling of connection between Dom and the crowd.

Periodically there were pyrotechnics that went off, so warm you could feel it from wherever you were in the pit. He played songs including The Funeral and Loner, which the crowd loved of course. He included the songs “My Only Angel” and “Wild Woman” which were off of the EP he did with Aerosmith. One of the songs that continues to hit the crowd in his live performances is Yungblud’s cover of “Changes” by Black Sabbath. Many new Yungblud members have been introduced to his music because of the connection Dom has with Ozzy Osbourne and his desire to pay continued tribute to Ozzy, which is pretty amazing to see how it has helped expand his fanbase and reach.

A number of years ago I had the opportunity to participate in one of Yungblud’s music videos that Ozzy was also featured in, and it is wild to see how much more reach Dom has gained since then. During “Changes”, fans had covered their flashlights in pink paper, so the venue was filled with pink light filling the room. Having watched Yungblud perform in venues like The Viper Room in Los Angeles, California that can only fit a couple hundred people, it was surreal to now see thousands of people in one room for him and still having the emotional sincerity that defined those smaller shows remain intact.

During his song “Fleabag”, Dom brought up a kid on stage named Spike who had a sign in the crowd asking if he could play the song with him. Spike was full of energy that matched Yungblud’s and after doing some slight adjusting on the guitar strap so the kid could play it, they performed the song and the crowd was cheering so loud. After the song, Dom put the kid on his shoulders and let Spike yell some words into the mic before he hopped off the stage back into the crowd. Yungblud has always been so proactive in engaging with his fans on a variety of levels, and it is fun to see him continue to do so. Moments like bringing Spike onstage prove that even as Yungblud’s productions continue to grow larger, his shows still revolve around human connection first.

Throughout the night, Dom shared his thoughts on the importance of loving each other. He expressed his love for Utah and how much he looked forward to returning. Toward the end of the night, visuals on the LED screen read, “Don’t forget to live”, which I think this sentiment will have a more significant connection to upcoming work we might be seeing from Yungblud. His team had a camera set up, after which fans could leave a message for Yungblud.

Watching friends, parents, and their children, folks that were there solo, lovers, everyone screaming the lyrics to Yungblud’s music together was a scene that felt larger than life. Dom finished his set with “Ghosts”, “Zombie”, and the encore track “Suburban Requiem”. Everyone was on their feet, the energy was electric, people were crying. Confetti was falling from the sky. No one wanted to leave. But in true Yungblud fashion, even after the music ended, the band left the stage, and the lights came on in the venue, Dom came running back out onto the stage and down to the barricade, giving fans hugs, taking photos with people and signing things.

The crowd cheered with excitement and gratitude. He then climbed back onto the stage, waved his final goodbyes with a light in his eyes and a smile on his face that no one will forget. Even after selling out his largest Utah show to date, Dom still found his way back to the barricade. Catch him now on his IDOLS World Tour and know that great things are ahead for Yungblud fans.
