Red Butte Garden Announces 2021 Outdoor Concert Series Lineup
June 8, 2021—Red Butte Garden released its Outdoor Concert Series lineup today, confirming that live music will return to the Amphitheatre on June 30 and continue through September. Interim executive director Derrek Hanson and his team are looking forward to welcoming guests back to this popular venue in the Salt Lake City foothills. “After more than a year of isolation and separation, people are anxious to return to normal activities and that includes attending outdoor events. Since announcing that we were going to resume the Outdoor Concert Series, we’ve been inundated with calls about the lineup, ticket sales, and dates,” said Hanson. He added that this early interest suggests they’ll have a successful season in spite of the late start caused by the evolving pandemic protocols.
Since the first shows in the late 1980s, the Outdoor Concert Series has grown from a 4-concert series to a full-summer lineup that accommodates 3,000 guests for concerts under the stars in an intimate setting within the Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre. The series has hosted world-class performances by award-winning artists and bands, and has introduced audiences to up-and-coming talent.
