Summertime in Utah brings on the opening of a lot of outdoor venues and concert series that we don’t normally get to attend during the colder seasons. Granary Live, being one of the newest venues in Utah, has booked some exciting bands to perform at their 7,500 capacity venue, with Caamp being one of them. With the show being completely sold out, it was sure to be a very exciting night.

mxmtoon pronounced (em-ex-em-toon) took the stage at a sold-out show at Soundwell in Salt Lake City on a Friday night. mxmtoon opened for AJR last year in July in Salt Lake City and is back this year headlining her own liminal space tour. She brought singer-songwriter Juliet Ivy along. I have never been to Soundwell so I was excited to see the space and feel the atmosphere. I walked into the venue and the first thing that I noticed was how packed it was. mxmtoon merch covered the shirts of many and the venue was loud.

Twelve years. TWELVE YEARS!  It’s been twelve years since Alternative Rock band, Keane made a tour stop in Salt Lake City.  It’s been about that long since they’ve played most cities.  A lengthy hiatus, solo projects, and conquering a myriad of issues in their personal lives have kept the boys from Winslow, England away from the road.  But on September 8, 2024, Keane triumphantly returned to Utah.  Red Butte Garden Amphitheater was jam-packed.  In speaking with some of the venue’s employees, I was informed that this was one of the shows that sold out the fastest.  That didn’t surprise me at all.  Keane is a band very high on my list of favorite bands.  I had heard rumblings that they’d be touring The States over the summer and I had my fingers crossed that they’d be playing SLC.
