Lucius played an energy-filled set at The Depot with opening band Attention Bird Utopia. We here at UCR are big fans of Lucius. We’ve had the opportunity not only to cover them on past headlining tours but also their recent co-headlining tour with another favorite, Dawes. When we got the invite to attend and review this tour stop, we jumped at the chance. It should come as no surprise that this concert, just as all of our past experiences seeing these amazing vocalists and songwriters, was amazing.

Lucius’ “THE GOLD RUSH TOUR” CONTINUES

Acclaimed indie-pop band Lucius have released a nostalgic coming-of-age track, “Thick as Thieves”. The track was recorded as part of the sessions for their new self-titled album, which Rolling Stone calls “the best album of their career”. Recently, the song debuted on the newest episode of Sibling Revelry with Kate Hudson & Oliver Hudson where Lucius’ lead singers Jess Wolfe & Holly Laessig sat down with the Hudson siblings to discuss the new album & song, exchange stories about taking care of babies while touring (in Kate’s case, with her ex-husband Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes), and the evolution of the Lucius aesthetic.
