Last Monday, LA punk band FIDLAR made a stop in Salt Lake on their US fall tour! They played at The Complex, to a small crowd who were about to get really rowdy! Fidlar has been on my list of bands to see this year, and I knew their energy would make for some great moments to capture. Lighting isn’t always on my side, so I had to get creative and get shots that really encapsulated the vibes of the show and the room! There were about 800 people, with still enough space to push each other around for constant moshing. I was glad to be up high from a safe distance in order to get these photos.

On October 4th, 2024, Utah was graced with the presence of Mod Sun and lovelytheband as they made their way across the U.S. on their highly anticipated co-headline “Here’s Your Flowers Tour.” Being the fifth of thirty shows on this leg of the tour, the Salt Lake City stop at the Union Event Center was destined to be a night to remember. Fans were buzzing with excitement from the moment the doors opened, knowing they were in for something special.

For their 9^th stop on their Can’t Be Still tour, illuminati hotties stopped by the cozy  Kilby Court to perform for their dedicated fans in SLC. The fans that show up to the performances at Kilby Court are incredible, and compliment each band after they perform,  adding to the homey feel of Kilby Court.  

Ginger Root • Pearl and The Oysters • October 4, 2024 • The Depot

On the edge of the Gateway Mall sits The Depot, a three-story tall music and event space that perfectly fit the aesthetic of Ginger Root and accompanying band, Pearl and the Oysters. The crowd was as neon electric as Ginger Root’s performance 1980s vibe.  

Crowded House • September 18, 2024 • Red Butte Garden Amphitheater

Outdoor Summer concerts are dwindling down. Temperatures are dropping and concerts are moving back inside for the next several months.  It’s been an amazing season this year at Red Butte Garden.  We couldn’t end the season without heading to the amphitheater for one last show.  Seeing Australian rock band, Crowded House was the perfect way to end our coverage of this year’s series.  It was a brisk night.  The cool temperature didn’t deter fans. People just bundled up and as the show went along they warmed up.    

Crowded House is a band that for some reason I have never seen before.  I’ve listened to them over the years and remember when they came on the scene in the mid-eighties.  I know they were supposed to play Eccles Theater within the past few years but something happened to where it was cancelled.  Crowded House frontman, Neil Finn even eluded to the canceled show and wondered why they hadn’t returned to Utah in so long.  Regardless of the reason, we were glad to see them.
