Royal Blood, the British rock duo comprised of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher, took the stage in Salt Lake City last Friday night! Playing to a nearly sold-out crowd at The Union, Royal Blood brought an electrifying performance that will be remembered for a while. They had the whole audience enthralled. Jumping along to endless punk-rock bangers, like their hits ‘Out of the Black’ and ‘Little Monster’. Ben, the drummer, even took the spotlight for a drum solo that altered the energy in the building. Both of these artists proved their insane talent 3x over during their hour-and-a-half set.

On Friday, November 17th, St Paul and the Broken Bones brought the house down at the Capitol Theater! Now, I will be fair, this was the first show of theirs I’ve been to, but they definitely know how to put on a show!
Dan Marsala may have needed to catch his breath but Story Of The Year didn’t skip a beat.
Yay for altitude change, anniversaries, and even Waldo made a front-row appearance. Before I begin to dive into the incredible show they served Salt Lake on November 15th let’s take it back to 2003 when Page Avenue first made an appearance on the scene any emo kid around can still sing “Until The Day I Die” word for word and don’t even get me started on “Anthem Of Our Dying Day”. Forming in St. Louis Missouri, in 1995 just making music they love. It’s incredible that twenty years later “Page Avenue” is still a powerful album that resonates through generations.

LP is in the house! On October 29th, LP – short for Laura Pergolizzi – and their band, graced the stage in Salt Lake City at The Union! This was a highly anticipated show for people with immaculate musical taste. It was nothing short of a grand performance. Featuring all sorts of rock, country, blues, and pop hits from their expansive discography. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be in the presence of a musical phenomenon, LP is a prime example. Just raw talent. LP’s vocals are breathtaking! Sometimes with a delicate raspy quality, sometimes smooth and angelic. Every high note and vibrato sent chills down to my toes. They have such a vibrant stage presence. A similar vibe to Jagger’s, that is unapologetically themselves, which was lovely to witness!
As the sun began to set over the picturesque city of Sandy, Utah, music lovers from all corners of the state gathered at the Sandy Amphitheater for a night they would never forget. Ben Rector, the acclaimed singer-songwriter, brought his soulful melodies and heartwarming lyrics to this iconic venue, closing out the season with a sold-out show. This wasn’t just any concert; it was the second night of the Old Friends Acoustic Tour, and every seat was filled.
